Essentials oils have been around for hundreds of years. They provide treatment for various health problems that have plagued mankind since the beginning time. Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, joint pain, muscle injuries, sinus headaches, migraines, back pain, the list goes on and on. The list is even longer for what the drug companies can produce to provide pain relief. But the problem with these drugs is how they are affecting our bodies. There is nothing natural in them, they oftentimes have serious side effects and worse yet can become addicting to the consumer. Essential oils are natural, they have no real side effects unless there is an allergy and they are not addictive. Our bodies are able to easily utilize the components of essential oils in many more ways than just the pain relief. Peppermint Essential Oil, used topically relaxes muscles in the lower back, reduces pain due to fibromyalgia and tension headaches. It also has an antispasmodic effect on the digestive track. Peppermint also relieves nausea, stomachache, and indigestion. To take internally, just one drop in a gelatin capsule is all that is needed. This oil is very potent and should not be taken internally without the capsule. You should also take great care to not touch your eyes or other sensitive areas if you have touched the oil during application. Rosemary Essential Oil is useful for treating rheumatism, joint pains and muscle soreness. It is an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, memory enhancer and appetite stimulant. Being a culinary herb, rosemary essential oil is also wonderful when added to your favorite dishes instead of the plant. Lavender Essential Oil is the go to oil for a migraine or tension headaches. It is not only soothing, but the aroma also relaxes with its mild sedative effect. This is important when stress and/or anxiety may be the cause of the headache. Inhaling this sweet smelling oil is in most cases all that is needed to bring relief. Diluting one or two drops with fractionated coconut oil can be applied to the neck and forehead for faster results. Please Note: There are some essential oils that can be combined together to get the benefit of their combined action. Making your own is the best way to do this. Always test each oil to insure that you are not allergic or have sensitivities to the oils. About Amy..."I was born and raised in the Western New York area and over the years I have been treated symptomatically for many different things. This resulted in 15+ operations with many being for the same reason. All that was being offered to me was treatment of my symptoms with no real desire to finding the root cause.
