Integrity. Sounds like it should be found easily in the industry of education, health, and wellness. I have worked in higher education for 7 years and have worked on an amazing project called the Buffalo Wellness Center for 5 years.
My best friend, Rebecca Lesniak, had an amazing concept. She battled health issues most of her life and felt her holistic path she educated herself on made her feel healthier than the medicine she was prescribed. She wished she could reach out and teach others what she has learned (she is a master certified instructor-so she has that natural instinct to teach). So she said out loud, "Let's help others and expect nothing in return". Let's truly inspire others to get HAPPY and HEALTHY! But how? We do not have the funds to help individuals coping with disease and illness. We work day jobs that are demanding...How do you help raise money and then use it to offer healthy tools to our community.
Well, Rebecca accomplished this after many years. She is AMAZING and a great problem solver! I helped a bit in the sidelines, but, the Buffalo Wellness Center is her "baby". I am very proud of the business and the decision to turn into a non-for-profit helping Buffalo through our FREE educational programs, and the scholarships we offer those dealing with illness. We have helped teens battling cancer, MS patients, Parkinson's, Crohn's disease, Alzheimer's, and list goes on and on.
Through the years of working with holistic providers, I have met AMAZING people. Good-hearted, ethical, inspirational people! I have become so energized about not just hearing but SEEING how modalities such as: essential oils, sound therapy, Reiki, Yoga, Juicing, clean eating, etc. were changing lives for the better. The evidence was shocking and I was as passionate as ever to help more people know about how we can help them through our FREE educational classes and supplies through the Buffalo Wellness Center.
With the good, comes the bad. And with that said, I have become a bit discouraged from the "sales people" and people who seem sonely about the profit. I am a single mom and have worked hard my whole life.; vacations have been FEW to NONE. So I understand the desire to make a good living, but I will NOT ever SELL just for the sake to SELL. I am not bothered by competition because if I care about the person sitting in front of me, chances they will like what I am selling because they feel I am sincere.
There is strength in numbers. If you are a health-industry business owner, I would assume you want to help others first and foremost. The field of Health and Wellness is quite trendy currently and I have seen the ugly side of business where self-gain is overshadowing assisting others.
There is room for everyone and IF we work together there is strength in numbers. This is why I promote others without worrying about what is in it for “ME”. I believe in the laws of nature and know the more I do with good intentions, the more will come back. I have worked in Sales and Marketing my whole life and have been successful knowing IF I treat each person as I would like to be treated and only sell ethical offerings, I will be in the TOP of my field because I earned trust and respect.
With this said, please feel free to reach out to me and we can see is we can collaborate. I am the Vice President of the Buffalo Wellness Center and I am always looking to increase our network of ethical, health-savvy professionals.
I also have a group of essential oil professionals if you have any questions about oils and how to purchase. We do sell them but I promise we only sell what we feel can help you-lol.
PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING OR BECOMING A LOCAL SPONSOR TO THE BUFFALO WELLNESS CENTER!!!!
